Every year each high school gets to nominate ONE senior to represent Hammond to the Maryland General Assembly Student Page Program. If your senior would like to apply to be nominated, please submit a letter explaining your interest in the program, and a resume to Mr. Livieratos, the Social Studies ITL. The 2018 Homecoming Dance will be on Saturday, October 13th from 7:00pm - 10:00pm. Tickets can be purchased for $15 online from September 14th – October 7th. Or, they can be purchased during all lunches for $15 from October 1st – 5th. On October 8th, tickets will be $20 and sold during all lunches in the cafeteria or after school in room 604 from 2:15 – 2:45pm. No tickets will be sold after October 8th. Online tickets must be picked up on October 9th during all lunch shifts. Before you can purchase your ticket, please make sure all obligations are paid off and your Family File is completed. You must bring a photo ID or schedule to purchase a ticket and to enter the dance. No one will be allowed to enter after 8:00pm. 2019 Senior portrait make up dates are scheduled for November 29th and 30th, and December 3rd at Hammond High School in the auditorium. Any senior not photographed previously (listed as Grade 12) will be automatically scheduled for an appointment sometime during the school day on 11/29, 11/30, or 12/3. They will receive a card in the mail from Lifetouch Prestige Portraits with the appointment date and time. The list will also be posted around the school closer to the portrait dates. If a senior did take a portrait previously but wants to retake or they are new to Hammond and did not receive an appointment card in the mail, they will need to call Lifetouch customer service at 1-800-445-1189 to schedule an appointment for those dates.Thu, 09/13/2018 - 8:46am

Underclassmen PICTURE DAYS are Thursday 9/27 and Friday 9/28. Students will take their picture during their scheduled English class on one of those two days. Students will receive their student IDs when they take their picture. Picture order forms will be sent home in the next few days. Influenza, also known as the flu, is a serious illness that affects people of all ages. One of the best ways to prevent the flu is through vaccinations. Once again, we will work with the Maryland Partnership for Prevention to offer flu vaccinations at Hammond. The flu clinic at Hammond High will be held on October 9th. If you want your child to be vaccinated, fill out the consent that was sent home with your child or the online consent at http://www.vaccineconsent.com. Do NOT fill out both. Hammond High School is hosting Safe Driving presentations on Tuesday October 23rd at 6:30 PM in the HaHS Cafeteria for all students planning on driving to school this year. A parent/guardian must accompany their son/daughter and stay for the entire presentation.
