Senior Portrait Schedule

SENIOR PORTRAIT SCHEDULE NOW AVAILABLE! 2019 Senior Portrait Make Up appointment dates/times are now available. Cinderella Auditions

CINDERELLA AUDITIONS All Hammond students are invited to audition for "Cinderella" (the Broadway version). The show performs March 14-16, 2019 and auditions begin on Tuesday, November 27. All the required paperwork can be found at: https://www.hammondhightheatre.org/cinderella Any student who is academically eligible from quarter 1 is welcome to audition. All auditioning students must attend the choreography audition on 11/27 from 2:30-4:30pm and then sign up for a half hour time slot on 11/28 or 11/29 to sing a short section of a "Cinderella" song. The Sign Up Genius can be accessed through the link above and the accompaniment tracks are on the website as well. Hard copies of paperwork are also available in the drama room. CINDERELLA AUDITION INFO MEETING: Friday, 11/16 at 2:20 The audition info meeting for the March musical Cinderella will be held in the drama room on Friday, 11/16. We will be passing out paperwork, answering questions and providing some tips for success. Email Mrs. Tobiason with any questions at LTobiason@hcpss.org THEATRE EXPO! Friday, 11/16 3:00-4:30pm Want to get a taste of theatre? Want to improve your performance skills? Come to the ITS Theatre Expo! No sign up is required, just walk in and join the fun. Join us on Friday, November 16th after the Cinderella information meeting in the theatre room, room 104. Learn about many aspects of theatre - like dancing, improv, auditioning, and tech - as well as real life skills such as public speaking and creative writing. Hope to see you there!

Canned Food Drive

The Annual Canned Food Drive has started! We are accepting donations from now until Friday, November 16. Please support the Bread of Life Food Pantry in Savage, Maryland, by donating cans and other non-perishable food items. Bring all your donations to your first period teacher and your class may win a Chick-fil-a breakfast! Thanks for supporting our community during this season of thanksgiving.

Fall Staff Luncheon

Every year our PTSA hosts a luncheon for the Hammond staff during conference week, this year is Monday 11/19. This helps to fuel them for some long days and gives the teachers more time to prepare so they do not have to worry about running out. While the PTSA has budgeted for the main items, help with a few other things is needed. A Midsummer Night's Dream

THEATRE DEPARTMENT NEWS Hear ye! Hear ye! Hammond's Theatre department is proud to present its first Shakesperean production! Join us for a hilarious, romantic romp through the woods outside Athens high school in 1957 as we present A Midsummer Night's Dream Thursday, November 8-Saturday, November 10 at 7pm and November 10th at 2pm. This show is fun for all ages and features a talented cast of over 30 actors. Boosters Gala

Hammond Boosters Gala - 3/15/19 It’s time to start planning for the Boosters annual GALA that will be held Friday, March 15th at The Great Room in Savage Mill. The gala committee will have their first meeting on Thursday, November 1st at 7pm in the teacher’s lounge. Parent Teacher Conferences will be held November 19-21

Starting Monday Nov 5, parents/guardians are invited to login to the HCPSS Parent Portal to schedule conferences with teachers for November 19-21. We encourage students to attend conferences with their parents/guardians, and as a reminder, report cards will be distributed on November 14. Underclassmen Picture Day MAKE UPS

Underclassmen Picture Day MAKE UPS are scheduled for Friday, November 16th. Students who have not yet taken a picture should take their portrait on this date during their English class. Students wishing to retake portraits for purchased photo packages can retake photos on this date as well.
