All you need to know about Course Requests

On Monday, January 11th Hammond High School will be hosting a Virtual Scheduling Extravaganza from 6pm - 8:30pm to discuss the Course Request and Scheduling process for the next school year. This event is for all rising 9th graders and their families and current 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students and their families and all portions of this event will be held virtually with a combination of live and pre-recorded segments. During this event we will have various session and events, including, but not limited to:

Information on Course Requests and how to complete them in HCPSS Connect
Teachers from all content areas available to talk about courses, electives, and sequences
Incoming 9th Grader scheduling meeting
Information on ARL programs and Academies
HCC Course and Dual Enrollment
AP Potential and AP courses and "stepping it up"

Schedule for the evening:

6:00 - 6:30pm Rising 9th Grade Welcome (This is a live event. Please click here for the Google Meet code - Or copy/paste the following into your browser - http:///meet.google.com/oyz-sntr-vgf

6:30 - 7:00pm Welcome from Dr. DiPaula (Principal) and Introduction (This event is pre-recorded. Please click for a link to the full Video Presentation. Please click here for a link just to thePowerPoint Presentation.)

7:00 - 8:30pm Breakout rooms with all curricular departments and programs. (This event will be live. Individual links to the various Google Meets are posted below. These rooms will be open at 7:00pm)

This is a great chance to talk teachers about electives, course sequencing, and other questions you may have about various curricular areas.
