January 8th - HaHS Scheduling Extravaganza 6-8pm

On Wednesday, January 8th Hammond High School will be hosting a Scheduling Extravaganza from 6pm - 8pm to discuss the Course Request and Scheduling process for the next school year.  This event is for all current 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students and their families. This event is also for all students and their families who will be joining the Hammond High School community next school year (both rising 9th graders and all students joining us through the redistrciting process.) During this event we will have various session and events, including, but not limited to:

  • Information on ARL programs and Acadamies
  • AP Potential and AP courses
  • Midterm Momentum for current 9th graders
  • Infomation on Course Requests
  • Teacher from all content areas available to talk about courses and sequences
  • Incoming 9th Grader scheduling meeting
  • Small group tours of the school for all students joining us  through the redistricting process

In addition, we welcome all students and families who are joining us through the redistricting process to join us at 5:30pm in the auditorium for a Welcome and short orientation. 

We will be providing babysitting for children 2-10 years old. Please reach out to paula_lancaster@hcpss.org for more information on babysitting. 

 

Students and families are invited to our Scheduling Expo on January 8 from 6pm - 8pm for all of our current and incoming students and families. Learn more about the different opportunities Hammond has to offer, including graduation requirements, pathways, academies, electives, ARL, Dual Enrollment, and more. Teachers will also be here to answer any questions about specific courses/sequencing.

Rising 9th grade families will remain in the auditorium for a welcome and introduction and join the Scheduling Open House afterwards.

9th Midterm Momentum will begin at 7:00pm in the Cafeteria for any current 9th grade students and families.

Interested in Advanced Placement classes? Did you receive an AP Potential Letter? Visit the AP Potential meeting in Room 210 from 6:30pm.

We invite all families who will be joining the Hammond Community through the redistricting process to join us at 5:30 in the auditorium.
