MONDAY 10/8 from 7pm-9pm The annual food-eating contest previous held at Cheeburger Cheeburger and Buffalo Wild Wings is now being held at Hammond's cafeteria with Pizza Wars, how many slices of pizza each class can eat between the hours of 7 and 9pm tonight??? The winner receives points for Battle of the Classes. RULES: Pre-order by Monday and pick up your tickets at the door or you may purchase at the door You will receive 1 ticket PER food item you purchase, so 1 slice of pizza = 1 ticket. You will take your ticket(s) into the cafeteria and use them to "purchase" your food items There will be two volunteers by each food station to 1) give you your food and to 2) place your ticket into voting boxes for each class. People submit all their tickets to vote for their class or they can spread them out across multiple classes. Basketball, Indoor Track, Wrestling, Cheer, and Allied Bowling Winter sports tryouts start are right around the corner with a start date of 11/15. Here are some important dates and some important information for you. The window for online paperwork submissions for winter sports opens 10/1/18. See the attached directions for how to submit forms. Paper copies of forms are accepted, but online is highly preferred. Online submissions MUST come through a PARENT'S HCPSS Connect account. 11/15 - Tryouts begin! Times and locations for tryouts will come out shortly. REMINDER: 1st Quarter grades will determine academic eligibility for winter sports. On Tuesday, October 2nd, Hammond's volleyball program will be hosting a Blue Game for Juvenile Diabetes Awareness. During all three home matches, Freshmen at 3:30, JV at 4:30, and Varsity at 5:30, the Lady Bears will be selling baked goods outside of the gym and donating all proceeds to JDRF.
