It is time to enter course requests for the 2023-2024 School Year.
During 6th period on 12/13, teachers reviewed the following presentation with students: HaHS - Rising 10th-12th Grade - H.S. Course Registration Presentation. The presentation is linked here, along with an accompanying video to explain the whole recommendation/request process.
As mentioned during the presentation, we are beginning the course request and registration process for the 2023-2024 school year at Hammond High School. Parents and students will be entering course requests through their HCPSS Connect Accounts. Please reference the HCPSS Catalog of Approved Courses when making your selections. In addition, please be sure to review prerequisites of each course.
Additionally, students will have a BearTime on Wednesday, 1/4 focused on Electives and Course Requests and then a chance to explore the various electives at all lunch shifts on Wednesday 1/4.
New Graduation Requirement:
Health 2 HE-920-8 This course is a graduation requirement for students entering grade 9 in 2021-22 school year or later. We recommend you take this course your junior year.

Any students and their families who will be attending Hammond HS next year are invited to attend out Scheduling Extravaganza at Hammond HS on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2023 at 6pm. During this event, there will be various opportunities to engage with school leaders, teachers, and school counselors to discuss the course request process and anything else related to scheduling.
