PSAT/NMSQT Information

On Tuesday, January 26th, Hammond High School will be offering the PSAT to interested 11th graders.

Participation is not required by HCPSS. The primary purpose is to give students the opportunity to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Program. Students can qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Program without a PSAT score. Alternate Entry allows eligible students to enter the scholarship program based on SAT scores in lieu of PSAT/NMSQT scores. Visit Alternate Entry to the National Merit Scholarship Program to review requirements and complete entry form or the National Merit Scholarship website to learn more.

To Register for PSAT: Any interested 11th grade student must complete the PSAT Registration form before 12/23.

  • Only 11th grade students who complete the form will be able to test.
  • Late registrations will not be accepted.
  • Note: students must be logged into their HCPSS Google Account to complete the form.
