Student Leadership Cadre Application for the 2020-2021 School Year

Are you interested in becoming a member of Hammond High School’s Student Leadership Cadre. SLC members are a group of students who participate in leadership training, complete service projects, serve as ambassadors, provide feedback to the administration, and serve as role models for Hammond High School.

All students with any previous leadership experiences, inside or outside of school, or who are interested in gaining leadership experience, are invited to apply.  However, the minimum requirements are as follows:  

• Commitment to academic excellence 
• A completed application, including:
  • One-page typed essay which address the following:
    • why you would like to become a member of the Student Leadership Cadre
    • how you would define SLC to a friend from another school
    • how you can use your skills and abilities to help the Hammond Community
  • Student Resume
• 2 recommendation forms from teachers/coaches (at least one academic). Send this link to your teacher/coach. Tell them to make a copy of the document, then share/email to Mr. DiFato by June 12.
• Understanding that there will be a separate SLC BearTime next year and all members of SLC will be in the SLC BearTime.

Please submit application materials to Mr. DiFato via the online application by Friday, June 12, 2020.  Applications returned after that time will not be considered.
