Robotics Team URSA Major

Ursa Major is a robotics team that competes in the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) FRC (FIRST Robotics Competition) competition.  Students utilize what they learned in the classroom in a real worl hands-on situation that emphasizes marketbale skills like engineering, marketing, programming, business, and outreach.  During the build season, the team is given a new challenge and must design and build a robot that meets the criteria and constraints, in just 6 weeks!  Ursa Major has weekly meetings (TBD) during the entire school year, and then meets every weekday and Saturday during build season (6 weeks starting on the first Saturday of January) in Room 304.  Weekly meetings outside of the build season fo from 2-5 PM, during the build season 2-8 PM on weekdays, and 8-4 PM on Saturdays.  Team Ursa Major plans events such as hosting the annual FIRST Lego League competition, training days, and mock competitions.
