Parents/guardians of, and students in grades 8-10 are invited to attend a virtual information session on the HCPSS Career and Technical Education Career Academies. Participants will learn how CTE Career Academies provide high school students with opportunities to earn college credit, scholarships, and industry certifications, participate in worksite and mentorship experiences, and become creative problem solvers by participating in hands-on project-based learning.
Each evening, all Applications and Research Laboratory (ARL) academies will be presenting to share additional information and to answer questions. Please register in advance for the Academy information sessions you are interested in attending. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
Please indicate on the registration if you need a translator and/or and interpreter for the January meeting no later than December 30.
Career Academy programs are offered in more than 20 different career fields, including agricultural science, aerospace engineering, cybersecurity networking, health professions, and more. Each program is designed to prepare high school students to be college and career ready and to meet the demands of the 21st century global economy.
Please note, these information sessions are for the career academies at ARL. The school-based academies will have sessions at their respective schools during registration.
