October 3rd - SAT Change of location and other updates

Tue, 09/29/2020 - 12:20pm

The following update contains extremely important updates regarding the SAT Exam you are registered to take this Saturday, October 3rd.  Please read this message carefully.

The test will now be held at Patuxent Valley Middle School, NOT Hammond High School.  Please plan on arriving to the parking lot by 7:30am.

Staff members will be directing students to specific locations in the parking lot depending on which test you are taking.  Before you arrive, be sure to confirm which test you are registered to take according to your admission ticket.  (For example, SAT with Essay, SAT without Essay, Subject Test, etc.)  If you are unsure which test you are registered for, please contact College Board.

On test day, you MUST wear a face covering throughout the entirety of the exam.  This is NOT optional.

Here is what test day will look like:

  • Arrive to the Patuxent Valley Middle School parking lot at 7:30am and remain in your car.
  • Proctors will circulate the parking lot and check your admission ticket and ID before you may exit your vehicle.
    • If you plan on arriving via any other transportation (walking, biking, etc.), please stand in a parking spot in the appropriate section of the parking lot according to the test you registered for.  Again, staff members will be directing everyone at the entrance of the parking lot.
  • Testing will begin at approximately 8am.  Proctors will lead students to their assigned classrooms.  Do NOT enter the school without the direct supervision and direction of a staff member.
  • Bathrooms will be available during designated break times.  Only two students per classroom will be able to use the restroom at one time.
  • Snacks are permitted but should be eaten inside of the classroom either as you remain seated in your desk or you stand directly behind your desk.
  • Please read through this Test Day Checklist.  There are items you must have with you to be permitted to test.

We look forward to supporting you on test day.  If you have any specific questions or concerns, please reach out to College Board before test day.  Thank you!
