Underclassmen Material Drop-off/Item Pick-up

We will be collecting all athletic uniforms and equipment that were distributed to student athletes this year on Wednesday, June 10 from 9:00am-12:00pm or 1:00-3:00pm.  

Any student who is returning to Hammond HS next year, or going to any other HCPSS school, should keep any other material/items with them and return them when we return to school next year. (If you are going to a different HCPSS school, you will return any books/chromebooks/other items to your new HCPSS school.)

If you know that your family is moving and you won't be returning to HaHS or any other HCPSS school, we will be collecting laptops, books, uniforms, and any other school items that you have been issued on Wednesday, June 10 from 9:00am-12:00pm or 1:00-3:00pm.

Finally, if your student has left personal property in the school building, please complete this survey HaHS Critical Item Pick-up Survey immediately. Please be as detailed as possible when filling out the form. Students are not permitted to enter the school building. We will work to have the item for you to pick up on Wednesday, June 10 from 9:00am-12:00pm or 1:00-3:00pm.


Please pay close attention to the details below:

  • Place all uniforms and athletic equipment into a plastic/shopping/grocery bag or box (the bag/box will not be returned to you).
  • Please place any books, athletic/musical equipment, and technology in separate bags/boxes (this is for those students that are moving away). 
  • Include a Book/Materials Collection Form in the bag; this can either be printed and filled in, or you can simply write the information on a sheet of paper (name, number, teacher).

Driving/Walking Instructions:

  • Walkers, please ensure proper social distancing
  • Vehicle occupants must remain in their car at all times during pickup/dropoff. 
  • To help expedite the process, please write your student's last name on a piece of paper and place it on the front dash of your car, so that it will be visible for staff as you arrive.

  • Upon arrival at the school, please enter the large parking area on the side of the school and follow the established traffic pattern (RED arrows). Please note that we will have diploma cover pick up going on in the front bus loop during the same time.
  • Parents/guardians must pick up medications directly from our nurse or health assistant. If you haven't already made arrangements please contact our school nurse, Ms. Broderick, at (mary_broderick@hcpss.org).
  • Students may not pick up materials for any other individual. 
  • You are encouraged to wear a facemask at all times while on school property.
